Spring Garden

Viburnum macrocephalum

There might be flooding and snow up north, but spring has definitely sprung around here. The daffodils have almost finished flowering and the dogwoods, azaleas and wisteria are out in profusion.

The photo is of a viburnum in my garden, it’s not in full bloom yet as most of the snowballs are still green, another week and it should be looking great.

I’ve sown lots of seed with the hope of getting a bumper crop. I’ve a couple of varieties of tomatoes, aubergines, courgettes, cucumbers, butternuts, runner beans, cantaloupe melons, sweet peas and various other flowers. Time will tell whether I can defend them against the heat, humidity and the bugs.

  1. Pretty picture!

  2. I love that picture. It sounds like your getting into gardening as much as we are this year.
